1. Go to Stratham Hill Park on Route 33 in Stratham
2. Park at the main entrance
3. Walk through welcome sign area with map and get on concrete path to your left
4. Take path past brown house with white lattice porch until you reach sign for LINCOLN TRAIL
5. Take left onto Lincoln trail and climb to the top of the hill.  Stop halfway at the rock that explains why this is called the Lincoln Trail.
6. Continue to the top of hill where you will find the firetower.  Before climbing the tower, take a look at what appears to be a sundial to see what towns/sites you are looking at.
7. After your firetower climb, come back down and continue walking across the field in the direction you were going when you got to the top of the hill.
8. Walk past the first trail on the right marked Kitty Rock Trail.  Continue until you see the sign for the North Eagle trail on your left.  Take this trail down the hill as it winds to the left.
9. On your left you will eventually come to a fallen tree with a large root system exposed (it is the first of two). Across the path from this first fallen tree is a standing tree that seems to have 5 or so trunks.  Remove sticks leaning on the tree and check in the middle of those trunks. You will find our letterbox. Total hike is less than a mile.
10.  After signing our book with your stamp be sure to replace the box AND THE STICKS so that hikers on this trail can't
see it as they walk by.
