Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 100 yards RT)
Status: alive
The story of how the town of Trickham got its name tells much about the man responsible. Store owner Bill Franks used to sell whiskey to cowboys that was actually water from Mukewater Creek, so when he applied for the Post Office his request was for Trick 'em. Somehow the name got changed to Trickham, but the meaning was clear; buyer beware! You can find this box dedicated to Mr. Franks' moonshine at Trickham Cemetery.
Directions:
From Santa Anna go southeast on FM 1176 and look for the green and white sign on the west side of the highway. Turn west at the county road and then right into Trickham Cemetery. Park just inside gate on left by McClatchy family markers.
Clues:
Walk west along fence 65 steps to #23. Angle right 10 steps to cedar tree. LB is within under a rock and needles.
