Selena Quintanilla Perez, April 16, 1971 – March 31, 1995. At the time of her tragic murder on March31st 1995, Salena was known as “The queen of Tejano” . Selena won the Best female vocalist award in Tejano music in 1986. In the summer of 1995, the album Dreaming of You was released with four English songs that she had recorded for her planned crossover English album.

From downtown Corpus Christi travel along the bay front down Ocean Drive to 4357 and the entrance to the Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery. After entering the cemetery take the first left. Travel around the round about with the statue of Jesus and travel about 30 yards down and to your right is the Selena Memorial. After viewing Selena’s Memorial turn abound and face the Veterans Flag and memorial. Go behind the memorial and walk to the fence directly behind it,,the box is located between the wooden and cyclone fence at the oleander bush.
