I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus, Goo goo g' job [I AM THE WALRUS]

It was reported that John Lennon wrote "I am the Walrus" to confuse those who tried to interpret his songs, but now we suspect he was remembering that The Walrus & The Carpenter once lived in the Wonderland that is now also known as Eggopolis. When John & Yolko chose to retreat to this area, they decided to try to confuse YOU by leaving a pictogram to solve if you want to find them.

Location:
www.letterboxing.homestead.com/John_and_Yolko.html

Terrain: Grass/dirt trail with some incline/decline.

Time/Distance: ~1 hour roundtrip, approximately 1.5-2 miles.

OK, you have that location figured out?

Yeah we're playing those mind games together
Projecting our images in space and in time
Yes is the answer and you know that for sure
Yes is surrender you got to let it go
So keep on playing those mind games together
Doing the ritual dance in the sun [MIND GAMES]

Time to head south and enjoy more John & Yoko songs along the way …

During the Vietnam War, in 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono held two week-long “Bed-Ins for Peace” in Amsterdam and Montreal, which were their non-violent ways of protesting wars and promoting peace. They have nestled in again to celebrate Valentine’s Day and hope that you will come to visit.

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one [IMAGINE]

Based on some of his lyrics, it’s obvious that John can relate to your letterboxing addiction:

People say I'm crazy, doing what I'm doing.
Well, they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin.
When I say that I'm okay, well, they look at me kinda strange. [WATCHING THE WHEELS]

Disregard the skeptics; you’re here to have fun! When you reach a “T”, head east, then wind around on your chosen trail color. As you travel, listen to what John said to convince Yolko to make the trip here.

Why don't we take off alone
Take a trip somewhere far, far away
We'll be together all alone again
Like we used to in the early days
Well, well, well darling

Our life together is so precious together
We have grown, we have grown
Although our love is still special
Let's take a chance and fly away somewhere [(JUST LIKE) STARTING OVER]

When you reach an intersection, you have a dilemma…

How can I go forward when I don't know which way I'm facing?
How can I go forward when I don't know which way to turn?
How can I go forward into something I'm not sure of
Oh no, oh no? [HOW]

Be brave!

Soon you’ll reach another decision point.

Intuition takes me everywhere
Well my instincts are fine
I had to learn to use them in order to survive
And time after time confirmed an old suspicion
It's good to be alive [INTUITION]

What worked before will work again.

You are my weakness, you are my strength
Nothing I have in the world makes better sense
Cause I'm the fish and you're the sea
When we're together or when we're apart
There's never a space in between the beat of our hearts
Cause I'm the apple and you're the tree

One day at a time is all we do
One day at a time is good for you

You are my woman, I am your man
Nothing else matters at all, now I understand
That I'm the door and you're the key
And every morning I wake in your smile
Feeling your breath on my face and the love in your eyes
Cause you're the honey and I'm the bee

One day at a time is all we do
One day at a time is good for us two (you too) [ONE DAY (AT A TIME)]

Did they say two? Well 2 posts with your favorite color will signal you are on the right track.

Moonlight on the water
Sunlight on my face
You and me together
We are in our place

The Gods are in the heavens
Angels treat us well
Oracle has spoken
We cast the perfect spell [CLEANUP TIME]

You are nearing their special place when you pass a tree with your special color.

Every man has a woman who loves him,
If he finds her in this lifetime,
He will know. [EVERY MAN HAS A WOMAN WHO LOVES HIM]

You will know you have arrived when you reach the next marked tree.

Hold on John, John hold on
It's gonna be alright
You gonna win the fight
Hold on Yoko, Yoko hold on
It's gonna be alright
You gonna make the flight
When you're by yourself
And there's no-one else
You just tell yourself
to hold on
Hold on world, world hold on
It's gonna be alright
You gonna see the light
When you're one
Really one
You get things done
Like they never been done
So hold on
Hold on [HOLD ON]

From the tree, take 45 steps on a bearing of 165°.

Oh my love, for the first time in my life
My eyes are wide open
Oh my lover, for the first time in my life
My eyes can see

I see the wind, oh, I see the trees
Every thing is clear in my heart
I see the clouds, oh, I see the sky
Everything is clear in our world [OH MY LOVE]

Stand between two trees separated by a foot.

Nobody else can see
Just you and me
Who are we?
Oh my love oh my love [LOOK AT ME]

Well, if your quest has been successful, somebody else CAN see them (but be sure no one can see you!). Look down and to the left to spot a rock pile. The lovebirds are nesting in the center of 4 larger boulders, hidden under a smaller rock. After your visit, please tuck them in and cover carefully so their wishes can come true and they remain here for a long time:

Grow old along with me
The best is yet to be
When our time has come
We will be as one
God bless our love
God bless our love

Grow old along with me
Two branches of one tree
Face the setting sun
When the day is done
God bless our love
God bless our love

Spending our lives together
Man and wife together
World without end
World without end

Grow old along with me
Whatever fate decrees
We will see it through
For our love is true
God bless our love
God bless our love [GROW OLD WITH ME]

If you visit this loving couple, we’d appreciate an email to let us know how they are doing. Peace & Love!
