Confirmed missing, but is being replaced by July 31,2019, will update with new directions, since the old coordinates lead you to an overgrown mess.

Built in 1969, Big Muskie, was billed as the "World's Largest Earth Moving Vehicle". It could move 39 million pounds of earth and rock every hour, revealing the rich coal seam 100-150 feet down. The immense dragline machine was churning along at full production until 1991, when power demands and other factors convinced the owners to shut down. The remaining "giant bucket" became the centerpiece of a display that tells visitors about the Big Muskie.

The Big Muskie bucket is approximately 10 miles East of
McConnelsville, OH on State Route 78.
From Zanesville, OH, head South on State Route 60. Route 60
will take you to McConnelsville. Take Route 78 from
downtown approximately 10 miles East. The Big Muskie
bucket is in a park on the North side of the road.

BIG adventure awaits! So grab a stamp pad, pen and compass
and get going.

M- MAGNATISM draws you to the third tooth of the big iron
bucket. Take a reading of 210 degrees. Keep your
direction true for 53 steps and don’t believe
everything you read.
U- UNSURE that you are on the right path? Maybe you need
concrete evidence. To continue your journey face 170
degrees and take 45 steps.
S- STOP for the Kodak moment, but look-out below. Take the
path that heads south.
K- KEEP going! You seek shelter. But first you must go
right past Robin’s house and a wet bar.
I- IT’S about time! You have reservations at the
southwestern most seat. From there, take 10 steps due
west. Turn due south and walk 28 steps.
E- ELM tree, or possibly oak or maple. I don’t know. But
it’s the closest of the larger trees southwest of your
path.

MINI MUSKIE is being replaced by adopter Aplainlady.
