Mikey

Over the holidays, a new puppy came into our home. Mikey is a rescue/adopted Black Lab, Rottweiler mix from Tennessee. His name was Sticky Paws when we picked him up, but was changed to Mikey once home. Right away, he captured my heart! Taffy is still unsure of the new, lively pup. And Mikey seems to think Taffy is a big, furry toy. They are not service dogs, such as War Dogs, Fire Dog Spot, Sled Dogs, and Quinn. But Taffy and Mikey give a loyalty and friendship that is unconditional.

Directions:

Shelton Dog Park, located at the corner of Nells Rock Road and Route 108 in Shelton.

Clues:

Proceed up the trail. Wave “hi” to Taffy as you pass, so she will not feel left out. As you begin to pass the Mountain Laurel, look for the first tree with a red/yellow blaze. Take the trail to your right, which is the Oak Valley Trail, and is now blazed red. As you descend down trail, notice the stone wall on your right. Follow the stone wall until it ends in a pile on the ground. Stop and look up the hill beyond this pile of rocks. You will see two trees, but the tree you want is to the left of these, with many rocks piled at it's base. The box is in front of the tree, at the base of the tree, with a flat stone on top. Many branches and leaves have fallen since this box was originally hid, so please watch your footing! Please rehide carefully, trying not to crack the box. And please keep Mikey’s picture in the box!
