Travel by car to The Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, Ma. You can start at the Trailside Museum (easiest route) or take any trail that will lead you up to Elliot Tower. Purchase a map inside the museum for $2.00. You can also print out a map on line.

Find and face trail marker 1063. (It was recently moved due to construction). Walk straight ahead and down (13 steps) a narrow hiking path towards a tree with a blue trail marker painted on it.

Stop and turn 90 degrees to the left and walk 7 steps. You will come to a group of rocks - step over and continue 3 more steps. You will come to another pile of rocks. Pull away some of the rocks in front. The Tenacre Centennial letter box is hidden in a small crevice under one of the rocks. Please re-hide carefully. Enjoy your day in the Blue Hills.

Hike length: 1-2 miles
