When a post rider came in April 1775 to tell Gov. Jonathan Trumbull that shots had been fired in Lexington, MA, he needed a place to convene the Council of Safety. A small store on his property became the site of more than 500 meetings between 1775-1783 that helped Connecticut's patriots win the war for independence.
Stand on the Lebanon Green. Can you spot a small red building with a rock in front? Look sharp! The end of your quest lies hidden in a rear window.
