4 out of 8 boxes are small film canisters, be aware of the size when trying to find them and re-hiding them.

Remember to always use stealth and to please re-hide well to allow others the same enjoyment. Thank you!

Walk, run, bike, or blade the Farmington Canal Heritage Greenway Trail which covers 84 miles from New Haven, CT to North Hampton, MA. For more information on this scenic trail visit: http://www.farmingtoncanal.org/AboutTrail.htm

Clues:
Head Northwest from the parking lot onto the paved pathway. After a little bit there will be a side gravel pathway on your left that starts with 4 big rocks. From the last rock take about 30 steps and look left to a 3-sister tree (the third sister is hidden). In between all the sisters is the first of the Nature's finest it has to offer. Stamp, log, and re-hide as best as you can.

Continue as you walk back onto the paved path and away from the parking lot. Pass a bench dedicated to Mrs. Festa, a devoted teacher at West Woods school in Hamden, on your left. Cross a bridge and then pass another bench on your left. After passing the two pairs of yellow posts on the trail, keep a lookout on your right for a low wooden rail just off the pavement. Sit down and maybe listen to some church bells? Look to your left and notice one set of sister trees and a tad further is another 6-7 sister tree. In the middle of the sisters is a stamp of one of my favorite nature's finest :-) Stamp and re-hide as you found or better.

After passing Smokey's restaurant on your right, there will be a AT&T pole on your left. Look into the woods carefully and spot a leaning tree that has bark that looks "marbleized" and very brown looking.Go down to the Sycamore tree. At knee length there will be an open knot with a white rock inside it. Behind this rock is another of Nature's Finest! Stamp and re-hide carefully.

Continue on the paved path. Pass Sergios Pizza and then a chained linked fence on your right. You will come to a road. Cross Shepard's Drive with care. Continue on the other side of the road. From the 2 yellow poles, walk about 17 steps and look to your right at the pile of rocks. In one of the mini "caves" is another of natures finest covered by 2 smaller rocks. Please stamp and re-hide as you found or better.

Continue on the paved path and cross another road (River Road). Walk until you reach a wooden sign on your left that says "Jebb Nature Walk". Enter. Walk down and then up the stairs following the white blazed trees and reading every info sign, if you wish. Stop at the Sugar Maple sign. Behind the Sugar Maple tree between it's roots and under a small rock is another of Natures finest. Stamp and re-hide as you found or better. After re-hiding you can continue further on the path to read more info on trees or go back to the Farmington canal walk. < if you continue the trail will eventually abruptly end so you will need to retrace your steps and head back to the paved path anywho>.

After you go up the stairs from "Jebb's Nature Walk", go left and continue. Cross another road known as "Brooksvale Ave." As you walk this stretch of the paved path, notice the AT&T warning signs on your right. At the third orange warning "stick", stop. You know if your at the correct "stick", if your facing it, there will be a 14+ sister tree on the left of it and a black cherry tree in between a two sister tree on the right of it. To the right of the tormented black cherry tree is an old tilted telephone pole. Behind the telephone pole and under leaves and a rock is another of Natures Finest. Stamp and please re-hide as found or better.

Continue and pass a wooden bridge to your left and then you will walk through a break in the trees where there are power lines. Not too long after there will be an unmarked side trail on your right. Go up the little hill. When you reach the giant oak on your left, take about 21 steps and look to your left at the unorganized rock wall. One of Natures Finest will be underneath some rocks, look for a whitish rock on top. Stamp, log, and please re-hide as you found or better :-).

Continue on the dirt path as it brings you back to the paved path. Take a right onto the paved path and pass the #23 AT&T wooden stake to your right. Go over a bump in the path and right before a paved bridge, go left down a pebbled path. From the boulder on your right, count the flat rocks til you are between 3 & 4. Carefully sit on the 4th rock and reach down under the third rock. Pull the box out and carefully stamp and re-hide the box as you found or better. :-) Congratulations, you found some of Nature's most finest creatures!

From here you can continue on the side trail as it pops out back onto the paved path. Turn right to go over the paved bridge and go back to where you originally came from or go left, if you want to see more of the Farmington Canal.

Let me know if you think any box needs maintenance. Thank you!
