This is my expandable series of Al Hirschfeld's caricature art of films and characters I particularly enjoy. They'll all be placed on the Qunnipiac Trail, so bring along Rubaduc's Q-Series clues. Boxes have no ink but all you'll need is a glorious Black pad.
This set is at Sleeping Giant State Park, which has seasonal fees for the main parking area.
Box 1 Josephine Baker is missing.
Not much filmwork or clips of Josephine Baker, as she became famous being the Paris nightclub performer. Take the Blue trail from the picnic area, cross the bridge and at the intersection of the Red Diamond, continue on the Blue Trail uphill. At the top will be a curved blue double arrow, continue to the next blue blaze on the rock on the trail. Look right to snarly tree roots, and the letterbox is at the roots furthers from the trail.
Now I suggest going back down the way you came up, go up the Tower Trail and take the Blue trail up the backway to the Chin. Pass the Blue Circle #17 and #16 and stop when you reach Blue Circle #15 on the tree in the trail. Look left 200 degrees to a log, and in tip of log toward the rock ledge is Funnymen letterbox.
Continue on the Blue trail over Chin and find Blue Circle #9. Take 12 steps at 130 degrees and look in center of rock pile by log. Oh and one more thing, this is the Columbo letterbox.
Turn around and go back down the way you came up.
