Bald Hill (one of the highest points on Long Island) is home to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Farmingville. The memorial is a 100-foot tall obelisk dedicated to all the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War.
Patchogue-Mt. Sinai Road (County Road 83)**Closes at Dusk**
FYI: There are two parking lots for the Memorial Park either from the N CR83 or S CR83. Depending on which lot you enter you are at either the "Break Neck Hill" or "Danger Hill" overlook. (Read the plaques in the lots) These were the names given to the overlooks by the original settlers. George Washington passed through in 1790.
TO FIND the "Bald Hill Memorial" Stamp:
1. Make your way up to the base of the obelisk
2. Stand at the "bow"
3. Look out below!
4. Starboard side
5. Twin trees, one of which has GOLD at it's root
