If you check google maps you will see this cemetery labeled as Wilson cemetery, but the gates are marked with Covington Cemetery, and historically this cemetery is known as Covington Cemetery No. 1.

Go through the front gate on North Columbia St. . Head straight along the sidewalk, past where it ends, to a lamp. On your left is a tomb with a small angel (Buisson tomb). Turn left and walk a few steps, heading roughly north, to the tomb with the beautiful marble angel. This is the Galatas tomb. Continue heading north, along the path, almost to the wrought iron fence. Stop at the Gusman tomb, which will be on your left. Look roughly 45 degrees off towards the right. Beyond a section of graves you will see an above ground tomb that is grey with a white front, next to a large cross. head for them. The tomb is the family tomb of Emile Aubert and the cross is in memory of the Alexius family. Just before the tomb and cross you will see a crepe myrtle tree with low wrought iron fencing surrounding graves on either side of it. At the base of the tree, hidden beneath bark and vines is Angelic Radiance. Watch out for thorns.

Please be very respectful of those buried here. Covington's founder John Collins is buried here, as well as many of the town's earliest inhabitants.

Remember to be discrete and return the box to the same place you found it, covering it as well or better than it was.
