Find the playground that is on the south end of Hafer Park near the duck pond and round rock climbing wall. North of the playground is a pavilion. It is marked with the number 4. East of the pavilion along the paved road and parking area are 2 dead pine trees. Walk east of these trees along the paved road until you see the footpath that is cut deeply into the hill to your left. The path is across the road from a cement picnic table. Walk the path up the hill and you will find that the path makes a "T". Go right and walk about 9 steps until you see a fork in the path. Take the trail on the left. Continue walking about 42 steps and see a green briar arch over the path. This will let you know you're going the right way. Continue on the path stepping over a small fallen branch. From there, walk about 16 steps to the next fork in the path. Take the trail on the right and walk about 38 steps. You will see the trail split into a "T". Take a left and go about 15 steps. Stop on top of the rock in the path beside the "rabbit-eared" cactus. Go back 3 steps the direction you came from and you will be standing on the path between the rock and a tree bridge that goes over the path. To the west is a tree with the top broken off. The box is under the brush pile just to the east of that tree.
