Nantucket Island is our favorite place in the world. We come here every year to celebrate our anniversary (our 38th this year!). There's so much to enjoy here: dozens of miles of public beaches, wonderful shops, historic museums (whaling, lightship basket, lifesaving) and, of course, the restaurants! If you're not from here, you might be shocked by the prices but that's an island for you! There are so many wonderful places to eat, you'd need a month to visit them all--and then you'd be broke!!
So, if you find this letterbox, you'll find out our favorite place to get a great meal in an historic place that will still leave you with some money to take the ferry back to the mainland. Enjoy!!
Clue:
Just go out the Milestone Road bike path until you see the little sign pointing across the street to the entrance to the Polpis bike path. After just a short way, at the "T" in the bike path, you'll see a large, tan gate with red markings. Look to the NW and you'll see a 1/4 acre clearing. Go to the largest evergreen tree smack dab in the middle of the far side of the clearing and behind it, under rocks and wood (well-hidden) you'll find a good time in Nantucket.
