Find Vance Park (close to downtown) which is located on a high bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, by taking Vance Road west to where it ends at the trolley tracks. Walk across the trolley tracks, continuing forward until you get to the green metal fence. Enjoy the view of the Mighty Mississippi River from this point, then glance to the left to see the stump of what was a huge tree. The box is down inside the stump covered by dirt. But, to get to the stump you have to turn to the right to get around the end of the green metal fence. Walk across the top of the very, very steep hill to get to the stump and the hidden box.

You can also get to this park via the trolley line by taking the Riverfront Line Trolley (not the Main Street Line Trolley) to the Beale Street Landing Stop (not the Beale Street stop), and then continue by foot a short distance in the same direction the trolley is going until you get to the green metal fence. It's a dollar to ride the trolley each trip or all day for $3.25.
