Long before the infamous race of the Tortoise and the Hare, the bunny would taunt the turtle about how slow he did everything. He even called him “SLOW POKE” and “STUBBY LEGS.”
The poor turtle would cry himself to sleep each night and would say, ”One day!! I’LL SHOW YOU!!”
Every morning the bunny would go down to the turtle pond and visit his old friend just to make fun of him. He would run around the pond really, really fast to make the poor little turtle dizzy.
But when the bunny would leave, the turtle would get out of his pond and practice moving as quickly as he could, knowing that ONE DAY, he would be challenging the bunny to a race. He practiced around his pond on the track going over a bridge, past the gazebo, over another bridge and finally resting at the 3rd tree on the left of the track.
