This letter box can be accessed from the North entrance of the park or officially known as the "West Entrance Station". Turn off at the first Picnic & Parking site - "Quail Springs". Locate the tallest Joshua Tree on the site, near the picnic tables. Head 65-70 paces 0degrees North. You should dead-end at a large bolder sitting by itself in front of the first parking spot. Turn 10degrees to the North and walk another 10 paces. Climb the rock on your right and face 80degrees East. The letterbox is a pink box in a zip log baggie - it is under the boulder on the far right, on it's backside. Happy Hunting!
Tip For Kids:
Kids, ask your parents to stop at an entrance station or visitor center and pick up a Junior Ranger booklet; it is free. Complete the activities and return the booklet to a ranger at an entrance station or visitor center to receive a Joshua Tree Junior Ranger Badge.
