Where the road from Michigan's light
Which has saved ships and sailors at night
And lake storms were wilder than mooses,
take the road signed by diamond and deuces.
Go south exactly one mile
Past cottages of the old style
And get ready right after the curve
to pull off – if you still have the nerve
At a post where 3 dragons are signed.
They're buggy, not the fire-breathing kind.
Three dragons keep guard of the mail.;
If you reach them, this hunt will not fail.
(We swear not to leave you in the lurch,
The box is midst beeches and birch.)
At the dragons, you're getting quite warm.
Stand next to them: look for signs of a storm.
Across the road, if your eyesight's not dimmed
See the result of incredible wind
Where nature most violently twisted
One mighty and strong who resisted.
Go round this survivor, you'll reach
The side toward Lake Michigan's beach.
Look into the shadows – you're hot;
Straight ahead of you – X marks the spot.
