Clarks Gully is located a few miles north east of Naples New York. This is the most adventurous of the four glens and gullies in the area. A short creek walk takes you the base of the pictured falls, which is about 20 feet high.
To reach this waterfall from Naples, head north-east on Route 245 for about 4 miles. Take a left on Sunnyside Road. Follow this for about 1/2 mile until you reach the intersection with West Avenue. You will cross the West River on the way. There is a parking area right by the intersection.
Clues:
Head under the bridge and follow the creek-bed to the falls. Once you arrive, stop; and enjoy the beauty and peaceful scenery. The treasure you seek is about 50 yards back. After admiring the falls, turn around, and walk back down until you come to the first large tree that is slanted at a 45 degree angle ACROSS the creek-bed. Climb up onto the trail that the tree stump is lodged in, take 5 paces back towards the falls, then look left; up the hill. You are looking for a stone that looks out-of-place, and is in the shape of a mushroom. Behind it, you will find the treasure you seek.
