Difficulty: Moderate; about a 5-7 minute hike

The 4 Okies are four krazy women who share a love of the outdoors! Three of us are cousins who have been coming out to the Topside Cabin west of South Fork for over 30 years. In the summer of 2011, we brought our friend out to see this beautiful place. It was the summer that we also began to letterbox. Topside Hikers was our first effort to place a letterbox. We got so excited that we immediately created this letterbox. Our friend made this cool stamp!

Topside Anglers Letterbox is located just west of South Fork, Colorado on the Beaver Creek Road. Follow the road up past some beautiful homes and the Beaver Creek campground. Take the road to the left toward Million Reservoir. Please note that it is a short but narrow and somewhat rough road. At the parking area, enter the trailhead toward the reservoir. Keep following the high trail to the left of the lake. At the point where the high trail meets the lower trail by a large, flat boulder pointing down toward the lake, walk about 12 paces up the path and look up to your left. You will see another very large boulder that appears to be growing into a pine tree. Look up and under the opening in this rock for the Topside Anglers Letterbox. Please be discreet and do not remove the letterbox. Also please be careful to place the rocks back so that the box is protected and out of sight.

Please note that a stamp pad is not included in this letterbox.
