In the 1850's Levi Morrill arrived in Yale, MI with his wife Huldah Knapp Morrill. For over 30 years he was a successful lumberman. He purchased many parcels of land and donated the grounds for the Elmwood Cemetery.

Levi & his wife are buried in Elmwood (not Sacred Heart) about 1/2 mile West of the stop light at Park Ave. After you find Elmwood, please enter. A marker stone at the divide in the road indicates the plot. Once there, locate the tall evergreen bush just to the West of the plot. (It's on the other side of the divide.)

Here you will find what you seek. Please re hide well.

** Just as the sign maker goofed on Levi's last name when making a street sign, I too have goofed on some spelling. The street is located on the North side of the A & W in town. Looks like neither of us fixed our mistakes.
