Level of Difficulty: easy with some gradual downhill/uphill climbs
Distance: 1.8 miles round-trip
Training Toothless is planted at Sanders Preserve in Glenville, NY.
*You will need your own ink. Markers work best.
Directions:
From Route 5, turn onto Gower Rd and follow it to the end. At the stop sign, take a left onto Sanders Road and the parking lot is .2 mile on the left.
Clue:
Park and take the grassy path to the right of the parking lot. This leads down to the trailhead on the right. You will take this trail all the way to the end to a tree with an “A” on it. (Along the way, you will pass trail “B” on the left.) There is a nice bench across from this tree for stamping! From the “A” tree, go 39 paces back up the trail. Look left and go 15 paces into the woods to a big tree with bark missing around its trunk. Training Toothless is in a crevice on the right hand side of this tree, inside the tree, covered by bark. Unfortunately, since this is the end of the trail, you must go back the way you came.
Hope you enjoyed Hiccup & Toothless! They are Little Turtle’s favorite!
