A little less than 2 mi. round-trip.

The little green frog went out for his daily hop, and was surprised to see how far he wandered from his green pond…

DIRECTIONS:
I-84 east-bound from Ogden, exit 92 (Mountain Green) and go under the interstate. Turn right (east) on Old Highway Rd, then left (north) on Hwy. 167 (Trappers Loop). Turn left (west) on Hwy 226 toward Snow Basin Ski Area. Park at the Green Pond Trailhead on the right side of the road.

I-84 west-bound from Morgan, exit 96 (Mountain Green/Peterson). Turn right, then left on Old Highway Rd. Turn right (north) Hwy 167 (Trappers Loop). Turn west (left) on Hwy 226 toward Snow Basin Ski Area. Park at the Green Pond Trailhead on the right side of the road.

CLUES:
The Green Pond Trail is across the street. Cross the road carefully and proceed on the trail. When you get to a “Y” in the trail, continue on the Green Pond #11 trail; a horseshoe left turn. In almost a quarter mile more, at the beginning of a hard left curve is an 8 ft. tree stump on the left. Watch on the right for a 5 ft long log with a hole in the top, sitting in front of a small Aspen. A large dead tree is lurking in the background. The small black pouch is tucked into the hole, under bark. A few steps more on the trail, and Green Pond comes into view.
