THIS BOX APPEARS TO BE MISSING. If you do find it (or attempt it and can't locate it), please contact the placer.

Reinhart Volunteer Park (formerly All Sports Park) is a wonderful place to take your little ones for an outing. Playgrounds for big and little kids, paths to wander, and a variety of critters to watch provide ample opportunity for exercise and fun memories. From 6th Street, turn right onto Bridge Street, then left onto Lincoln. Turn left into the park and stop at the first parking lot on your left.

Guess who is hidden at the far end of this parking lot?

He was born in Baltimore more than 100 years ago.

One of eight children, only he and his sister Mamie survived. Sad, but true.

He was raised by a group of Catholic monks, who taught him to play baseball.

He was given the most famous nickname in American sports history.

He was a very good pitcher, but this fact is not well-known by most people.

When his team moved to a new stadium in 1923, it was called "The House That ____ Built." It is in New York.

At the time of his retirement, he held 56 major league records!

His name was actually George Herman ____.

Famous quotes:
"Never let the fear of striking out get in your way."

"I swing big with everything I've got. I hit big or I miss big. I like to live as big as I can."

"It's hard to beat a person who never gives up."

Now you know which league plays in the field nearby.

CLUES:
From the first concrete table at the end of the parking lot, find a sign that says George W. Hanson Memorial Redwood Grove. You will find this box at the base of the trunk about 20 feet directly behind the sign. Circle around the tree until you can enter without people seeing you. Be sure to re-hide it just as carefully, especially if there's a soccer game going on.
