Walled Lake Amusement park originated when brothers Jake and Ernest Taylor opened a dance hall and bath house on property near their general store.
Around 1921 a competitor built a bath house, 2 wooden water slides and a larger and fancier dance pavilion with a restaurant. Eventually, in 1931, one of the dance halls was converted to a roller rink.
The location of the park was 13 Mile and Novi Road at the south end of the lake.

Recreation pass required.
Start at 15, which is located at the boat launch off of Bass Lake Road.
Head toward 14, stop when you reach the clearing where the tall metal twin soldiers stand guard.
Turn around and walk a short distance until you see a tree on the right proving Matt and Todd have been here.
Walk 11 steps at approximately 75 degrees to a large 3 trunker.
Then walk 38 steps at 0 degrees passing between 2 maples to a blown out tree.
The bag is against the base of tree.
