From intersection of Hwy 16 and Hwy 29 in Llano, go east on Hwy 29 about 8 miles. The famous bald eagles' nest will be on the right. You will see a cleared area where you can pull over and park. Look far up in a tree in the field to spot the nest. (Keep in mind that they move the nest from time to time.) In the middle of the parking area, you will see a live oak tree. From the tree, walk 24 steps due west. You should arrive at a clump of three small trees in front of a fence. At the base of these trees is my letterbox.
