To locate the Queen Elizabeth II Letterbox drive out to Foothill Regional Park outside of Windsor, 1351 Arata Lane, Windsor. You can download a copy of the trail map at the regional parks website for Sonoma County or you can just check it out on the periphery of the parking area. You can park outside the parking area and walk in or you park in it and pay $6. I opted to pay the $6 because it’s important to maintain and keep our parks.

According to Wikipedia "The House of Windsor is the current royal house of the Commonwealth realms. It was founded by King George V by royal proclamation on the 17 July 1917, when he changed the name of his family from the German Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to the English Windsor, due to the anti-German sentiment in the United Kingdom during World War I. Currently, the most prominent member of the House of Windsor is Elizabeth II, the reigning monarch of the Commonwealth realms."

OK, head up and down the Westside Trail until you reach the Oakwood Trail. On the Oakwood Trail keep going until you see some picnic tables, one on your right, another a further ways along on your left and then another on your left. Go to the second picnic table. There look yonder at 300 degrees to the Boundary Park sign on the falling down fence. Walk over there, turn around facing south and walk seven steps to the oak. At the base of the tree on the north side under a couple of camouflaging limbs find the Queen Elizabeth II Letterbox.

Those picnic table can be moved so once you’re up where some picnic tables are check out the boundary and signs. You may have to be creative if the tables are moved.

Good luck and thanks for coming!!
