This letterbox was part of the 2011 GO and Explore Your World! program, and was available from June 1, 2011 - September 5, 2011. Stay tuned for the 5th annual GO York program, to start in June 2012. Information about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

The GO and Explore Your World! program uses checkpoints - wooden posts with engraved plates attached to them - instead of traditional letterboxes and stamps. Please carefully rub an impression from the engraved plate into your Passport (program guide), available at any York County Library.

This letterbox can be accessed from the Conewago Day Use Area at Gifford Pinchot State Park. It is rated "moderate" by GO York standards.

- Park in the Conewago Day Use Area parking lot.
- Start up the stone trail into the woods by the nature/interpretive center – notice the signs on the right for the “Interpretive Trail” and “Tulip Trees”.
- Just past the sign on your right for “Oak Trail” you will notice that the trail splits. Follow the trail uphill to the left, which takes you to the “Toboggan Run Rocks”.
- Watch your footing as you climb uphill and make sure you check out all of the large rocks and boulders to your right.
- At the old toboggan run at the top of the hill (on your right), turn left.
- Follow the gravel trail as it brings you to a clearing on your right – look for butterflies and other insects in this field!
- Just past the clearing, continue to the tree along the left side of the trail that has two blue, rectangle markings on it – here you will find what you are looking for!
