This box is missing. Check out Tiger Trails II. It's just a hop, skip, and jump from the original location with a new stamp design, too.

This box has been created for a Girl Scout troop being introduced to letterboxing. It is meant to be age appropriate for them but all letterboxers are welcome. After finding the box you'll see that its treasure is the mascot for the girls' school across the street. Happy Hunting!

Watch out for poison ivy! Stay on the trail and you'll be fine!

Clues:
Find Walnut Pond located on McDonough Road one block east of Rohrssen Road. After you park your car find the sign that reads Walnut Pond Hoffman Estates Park District, join the paved path to the right of the sign. As you walk down the path you'll see backyards to your right. Concentrate your prize is in the other direction. Walk to the garbage can and take the path that goes left. If you pass the flagpole you've gone too far.

After you've taken the path that turns left you should find a hollow broken stump on your left side. Don't look in there the bugs have gotten everything first. Keep walking straight ahead. See the lonely stump? Pass by it continuing to follow the curve. Look to your right and find two trees wearing blue ribbons. You're on the right path. Keep going forward. Do you see the fence to your left? You're getting closer.

Now look for a tall tree at the water's edge. It's the one whose twin has fallen into the pond. At the base of the standing tree is what you seek.

Please cover it back up when you are done. Be warned, school groups use this trail. Be careful not to let anyone see you. Happy Trails!
