From I-64:
Take the WV-12 exit- EXIT 161- toward ALTA turning left if coming from I-64W or right if coming from I-64E onto WV-12 S. After about 12 miles on WV-12, you will enter the town of Alderson. Pass the BP station, Subway and Thrift store. You will go around a bend and see the river on your left. The Alderson Mini-Park is on the left right after the curve.
Pull into a parking space and find the steps in the middle of the brick wall. Walk down the first set of steps and face right.
Follow the natural, flat trail on your right that heads towards the Alderson pedestrian bridge.
Walk straight until you see the backside of a sign for the town library. Walk 34 paces from this location (still on the flat path) and start hunting. You should find the letterbox amid the bank stabilization structure. Please replace the concealing features after you find the letterbox.
