i found this box on 11-10-2023. it is still in place and very findable. it was, however, very very wet and the box is destroyed. i have pulled it for repairs and will state when it is available.
We would love to have you come and meet one of our long time friends. We celebrated her 9th birthday in April and to honor her we carved and placed this stamp and letterbox. Come to Loudon Rec Field and park near the tennis courts. Before we placed this box my daughter played on the play set and watched the beginning of an adult softball game. We sat and looked at the granite bench and talked about Tony Bynes, then we were off.
Follow the path/nature trail behind the tennis courts and horseshoe pits. Follow the stone wall and at the bottom of the hill continure to follow the path to the right. Take a look to your right at the large knotty tree... Continue on the path past the marshy/pond on your left. You will come to a large pine tree in the middle of the trail with a pond behind it. Turn around and take a couple steps back and to your right you will see a family of 4-5 pine trees. In the middle of the family will be Margaret. Please take care of Margaret and be sure the bag is sealed and hidden very well!
Take the time to enjoy the ponds and look for some tadpoles or frogs.
