Driving directions
1. Head northeast on US-11 N/N Valley Pike toward VA-259 W
2. Turn left onto VA-259 W/Mayland Rd
3. Turn left toward E Springbrook Rd
4. Continue straight onto E Springbrook
5. Turn right
6. Go past Broadway High school to the intersection
7. Park in the field on the right
Walking directions
1. When you go past Broadway High School, you will go to an intersection.
2. Go straight towards the iron bridge that was built in 1898, but stop there in the field on your right because a train goes through Broadway every day.
3. Then walk across the bridge that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
4. Walk down the left side of the bridge.
5. Look at the rocks covering the base.
6. Then go back across the bridge.
7. Walk down the right of the road.
8. Look at the poultry plant that currently employs 8,500 people in the Valley.
9. The road that runs down the bridge is State Route 1421.
10. Follows the path until it turns left.
11. Look at the creeks that run through most of Rockingham County.
12. Follow the path to the rocks on the base of the bridge.
13. Stand on the rock pile and look at the base.
14. Look at were the iron bridge connects to the stone base
