On Rte 460, between Blacksburg and Pembroke, turn on Rte 42 east towards Newport. Follow 42 east and then turn left on Rte 601 (Clover Hollow Rd). Take a short scenic drive until you come to the Sinking Creek Covered Bridge on the right.
This bridge was built in 1916 and is one of 5 wooden covered bridges in Virginia.
Park in the small pull off in front of the bridge. Walk down the wooden steps with the metal railing. Keep left and enter the underpass. After the first crossbeam, our letterbox will be in the first upper opening on the left.
While there, enter the bridge and sign the visitor registration book.
