I named this set not for the set itself, but because I plan to list every box planted around the Cascade Lakes Senic Byway. Some great boxes appear to have been hanging out unfound for years do to the fact there is no real way to search for them in an organized fashion. Now every time someone else or I hides a box along this route I will add it to my list. There are too many beautiful lakes and trails out here to count and very few boxes to search for, which I hope to change that with this project. Unfortunately this Byway and all of these box locations are only accessible from around June through october depending on the snow level. The number system I am using starts South to North with a couple of boxes being a few miles east of the Byway at South Twin lake and North twin lake. The twin lakes are not actualy on the Byway but are just as dificult to specifically look for.

If you can not find the clues to all of these boxes you need to make sure you have unchecked abandoned boxes and updated your search.

Back to I love boxing. I crafted these stamps in art class when I was about 16 years old. They were originally designed to make impresions in clay. With some minor tweeking I made them ink friendly, but they work best with a good amount of ink and gently rocking them in all directions. Since I am over double that age now I can not tell you why I crafted these images or what they meant, so my family decided to use our imaginations to tell you a story with these blasts from my past.

From Burgess road and 97 in La Pine , follow Burgess till it T's off at South Centurey road, go left on South Century untill you see the sign for the Twin lakes on your right pointing to the left, once on Twin Lakes road go about a city block to North Twin. Go to the day use area in the North Twin campground, pretty much straight back to the water.

Box #1 Space Ship: You will need a space ship for this voyage. Start your journey where the engineless crafts launch into open sky, Head East along sand and sky, Over rocky lands past broken towers to the left, From the shortest broken tower travel 78 Steps to the skinny core, Follow the hollow to the rear entrance of this secret airbase, Your ship is in the hanger.

The two very low orbiting satlites were actualy under water 6-10-11, I was in a boat when I noticed this, there was a baby pine tree in the water that might work as a reference point. put your back to it and take a few steps left before geting your compass reading, then fly maybe 40 steps.(I think)
Box #2 Scorpio: From the secret airbase, Fly Southeast through the wastelands, Past 5 castles perched on the sides of nearby towers, Past natures art, Another castle, A mossy tower, To the point, On the point find two asteroids and two small very low orbiting satellites (if aliens have abducted the asteroids its ok), the satellites are key, stand between the two very low orbiting satellites, Find 110 degrees then fly 50 steps to two more satellites, At 160 derees (beyond some debris you wil find natures space station about 12 steps away), Step left of this haze of debris that otherwise would be as blinding as sticks and leaves, After you have steped off twelve at 160, marvel at the many hangers rooted in natures space station, From inside the southern most hanger you will be able to view Scorpio.

Box#3 Saturn: It is time to explore the unknown. From the space station head East somewhere between 90 and 100 degrees untill you reach a higher orbiting satellite, Go 122 degrees fly over the debris, Pass the two skinny trees lost in space, Pass 4 tiny satellites, Fly over more space debris, some small, some large, Then fly under the broken arch, 7 steps to the "V", Take a right towards what seems to be another "V" but from 70 degrees is clearly a "W", Stand between the "W" and the space rainbow, Find 150 degrees over massive debris, Fly 33 steps to the Milky Way, Fly South along the Milky Way a short distance, Find two large rocket ships, their "V" points to the rings of Saturn, Below the ring components lies Saturn.

Box #4 Galaxy: After you have refueled continue riding the Milky Way south, Follow its curves and flowing bends, When it clearly takes you East its not much farther, Pass satellitets galore, Then satellites and asteroids,Do not pass through the line of satellites, but instead where a rocket ship stands alone with satellites at the ready, There inbetween lies your new home and Galaxy.

30 steps past the satellite row is the great space highway, from here either direction will lead you back to earth, to the left has a more elavated view of this universe (very beautiful) but alas the shortest way back is the flight path first traveled.

PLEASE BE SURE TO LEAVE NO PART OF THE BOX EXPOSED WHEN YOU REHIDE THESE BOXES DISCRETELY AND COVER WELL. THANK YOU.
