The Mancelona Bass Festival takes place the first full weekend of June every year. The carnival is held on Palmer Park Rd, across from Palmer Park. I really do not suggest looking for the letterbox while Bass Fest is going on. You will definitely be seen.
Find the red shack that the Ladies use. If you look to your right, you will notice the large open space. That's where the carnival is held. You do not need to go there however. There is a tree near the back right side of the "shack". Walk around to the back of this tree. With your back against the tree, walk for 86 steps through the rows of pines. You have reached a road of sorts. What to do, what to do? Go left! Another 60 you shall go. Right is right this time. 30 to the base of a leaning Y!

One of the roads in this area is always plowed for snowmobiles, so you could attempt this box in the winter...
