This is about a 2mile walk (or bike). It goes through beauatiful woods on a wonderful path. Go to the lower Hudson St. entrance of the south hill recreation way (near the intersection of Hudson and Columbia St.) I would suggest biking (you could walk) until the path goes STEEP up a hill. At the top, there is a T. Go left at the T. You will pass a cement crumbling bridge, and after awhile you will see the back of mile marker 1mile. Look ahead (southeast), and find a bridge. Walk to bridge. Look over left side. If you see a dangerous amount of water, follow directions #1. If there is pretty much no water, Follow the funner directions #2.

directions #1:
Go to just before the bridge starts. Turn left. Walk and stop at either side of the bench. (doesn't matter) Walk for about 5 steps. Look right and see cluster of 4 trees. There is another bigger tree to the left: it looks dead. On the left side of that tree there are two boulders touching the tree. The rock furthest down hill that is touching the tree is The Rock. CAREFULLY climb down and get the letterbox under the downhill side of The Rock. Cover with leaves after you have stamped in.

directions #2:
These are easier and funner than #1 if there is almost no water. Go to just before the bridge starts. Right side. Go down. Go into tunnel, out the other side. Keep walking until you can touch a cluster of many boulders. Climb up. Soon you will see at the almost top, a big, maybe dead tree with a boulder touching it. Under the down hill side of the rock is your prize. Cover with leaves after you have stamped in.
