While servicing this box, I discovered the box WAS MIA. Suspecting vandalism, I looked over the cliff to discover, within view, the lid. I was able to gather all of the pieces after some careful maneuvering. The following indicates the instructions to it's NEW LOCATION, hoping it will be treated more kindly by not being so easily and accidentally discovered by nonletterboxers.

From I81, take 211 East through New Market until you begin to climb the mountain. Turn Left onto East Lee Hwy which is across from the Parks' Visitor Center. Follow this road until you see a small gravelled parking area on the right side just after a yellow diamond shaped caution (hikers) sign. This is the storybook trail that includes a lookout toward the Shenandoah River. Park your car here and follow the path, first crossing a beautiful S-shaped wooden bridge. Follow the short path until you get to the end with another wooden bridge. Walk on the wooden bridge until it transitions into a metal lookout. The railing on the left ends. Step off the constructed path on the left side at this opening. Follow the somewhat overgrown cowpath that travels toward the North.

Follow the cowpath North, keeping the view side on your East side until you soon reach the cache.
Nestled within a large grouping of rocks on the left side of the cowpath if you are facing North in one of the areas where an awesome view opens up on your right.

NOTE: This area has lots of great rocks to climb on, to picnic around and to enjoy the story of the Massanutten Mountain Geology! A nice, relaxing, but educational adventure if you have the time!
