Last found/checked: 9-MAY-11 Went to check on the box and only found the camo tape and hook - no container, no stamp, no logbook!
Time: Approximately 30 minutes depending on season & trail conditions
Terrain: Paved, gravel & dirt trail (or all snow/ice!); easy inclines/declines.
We live in Brookfield, WI and FungusWoman, one of our letterboxing friends, lives in Brookfield, IL. She therefore suggested a stamp exchange between the two cities. She carved this stamp which shows the image of something that is painted on a water tower in Brookfield, IL. So we decided to plant her box near a water tower in Brookfield, WI! Find a water tower that is located in a city park. Drive to the last parking lot and head over to the trail kiosk.
Take the paved path in the direction of Illinois; then at a âTâ head towards Madison. Continue along until you pass through a narrow gap. At the next intersection you come to, head towards Green Bay. As the track begins to curve, exit to the right and ascend a small incline. Follow the trail past some evergreens and then past a corner post on the left. At the next intersection head towards Illinois again, but stop at the double yellow lines. Go off trail heading towards Milwaukee and stop when you reach a broken âVâ behind another singleton. Your prize awaits inside the broken top.
Please replace it so it is well hidden and then return to the trail near the corner post. Continue onward towards Milwaukee until you return to your vehicle.
Updates on how the box is doing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
