Myton is on US-40 between Roosevelt and Duchesne. The settlement was built at the only bridge crossing the Duchesne River and for this reason it had an early name of The Bridge or Bridge City. For many years it was a well-known trading post. The community received its present name when Major H. P. Myton came from nearby Fort Duchesne to take command as the region was opened to settlers in 1905.
The town was located along the bank of the Duchesne River, which was prone to heavy flooding in the Spring. When dynamite was set to the river, in order to change the course a little bit away from the town, it left the bridge high and dry. So a new bigger and better bridge was built a few years later.

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy. 40 at Myton, turn south at the Sinclair Gas Station, and continue south to 100 S./Indian Highway, and head east. At the other end of town is the Myton Cemetery. Park near the 2nd entrance to the cemetery.

CLUES: Along the fence at the east end, go north to the first tree. The small pouch is behind the tree, under a rock, camouflaged with bark.

Please zip all bags, be discreet, as this can be a busy highway. Rehide well, with the rock on the pouch, and camouflage with bark.
