Hi there,
This is my first letterbox so let me know how I do!
A couple of notes: there are 9 microboxes along with the letterbox. The microboxes are in canisters about the size of a film canister and all of them are hidden above ground. Please screw tops back on tightly to keep them dry, and cover them well. The letterbox itself is the only one at ground level. The trail can be wet and messy esp. if it rained recently. i have a smaller size step so you might have to adjust accordingly. Bring bug spray if it’s that season! Have fun, I hope I did ok!

Park in the Oak Grove recreation area (Ann Arbor Trail, west of Hines Dr.) closest to Ann Arbor Trail. Cross Ann Arbor Trail to the unused road that is often blocked by road blocks. Follow the road until you see the path leading into the woods on the right. Enter here.
Follow the path approximately 36 steps after the small man made foot bridge. Pass a large tree and find the tree with the hole in the trunk. 1st microbox is here.

Continue on the path and cross the creek when you have the choice. Follow the path to the left that follows near the creek.

Approximately 70 steps past the bridge, as you walk through a canopy of trees look for 2 trees twisted as one on the right side of the path. Microbox 2 is here.

Continue on approximately 125 steps to the large tree that’s been cut to clear the path. Look up for the tree that’s shedding it’s skin. 6 steps ahead of the shedding tree is a resting log. In the end you will find microbox 3.

Continue on. When the path meets up with the creek again you’ll see a large tree that’s fallen ahead. It’s tall stump is next to the path. You will find microbox 4 here.

Continue on past a cement structure in the creek, going up hill and down again. Go approx. 90 steps up the path (start counting when coming down the hill) past 2 very large/tall stumps with warted bases (on left), one has the rest of it's tree resting at it's base. Go approximately 60 steps and you will see a group of 5 trees sharing one spot. Microbox 5 is here where they join together.

Continue on, approx 90 steps. When you get to a large tree leaning over the path above you on the left, you’ll see 2 trees joined at the base in a "V" with a 3rd hiding behind them to the left of the leaning tree. There are downed trees coming out of the “V”. Microbox 6 is where they all meet.

Continue on approx. 150 steps until you have to go under a large tree that’s leaning over the path. Microbox 7 is in a knot hole in this tree.

Continue on path. Walk across a log bridge to a man made bridge. Work your way up to the next bridge. CAUTION: the stairs drop off at the top. Walk next to the stairs but be careful of roots that will trip you! Continue over the next bridge. Continue on the path. You will reach a fork in the path at the sign painted orange on one side, continue toward the creek and you will see the roots of a long down tree. Continue following the path as it leads away from the river. There will be a path that branches left to the river, you will see a large tree showing it's roots. In the roots is Microbox 8.

Continue on the path past a group of cut/downed trees and crossover the creek again. Head toward the brick house on the hill. Go to the bike path in front of the building, look toward the recreation area (left) for a tree in the shape of a “V”. Microbox 9 is here.

Look for a light that changes color, take the man made path toward it. When you reach the light follow the road over the rushing water. CAUTION: watch for traffic! Follow this road until you see a dirt road on the left. Find the “youth corps” sign. You will find the letterbox among the rocks and see what the surprise is!
