Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 100 yards RT)
Recommended Ink: brown & blue
Status: alive
Rio Vista Park is located about a mile south of the spring-fed headwaters of the San Marcos River and is a reliable park-and-play spot with water temperature's in the 70's year round. There are 3 small falls that are fun to tube and it is free if you bring your own. So come find this microbox, then go for a swim.
Directions:
From Hwy 35 in San Marcos, go north on CM Allen Pkwy for .3 mile, then right on Cheatham for .1 mile. Turn left into Rio Vista Park and park in one of the lots.
Clues:
Walk toward the river to see the falls, then turn right and walk on gravel path past ranger station 50 steps. On the right you should be even with a picnic grill. Go left off trail 10 steps to a multi-trunk tree. The microbox is within under a rock and leaves. Please be discreet and replace as described.
