Terrain: Moderate – clear, wide path, a couple of manageable hills and possible mud
Clues: Easy – no compass necessary
Time: 15 minutes to the box (unless you’re with small ones!), longer to combine with our “Cabin Mountain” LB or to finish the loop

Enter the park from WV Rte 32, south of Davis. You may want to stop at the Nature Center or the Lodge to pick up a trail map. At the first stop sign, follow the directions to the cabins, on the west side of the park. One of the first trail heads you’ll find among the cabins is the Club Run Trail, on the right side. There’s parking available along the road.

Follow the red blazed Club Run Trail through the woods, eventually heading uphill. At the first fork, bear right and head to the top of the hill. You’ll find the junction with the Ridge Top Trail; follow the white blaze to link with the Middle Ridge Trail (green blaze).

At the Middle Ridge Trail, bear right to follow the green blazes. You’ll head NE downhill. At the 9th green diamond, look for the foursome on the right of the trail. Your treasure is in the back. Please be discrete and be sure to hide again well as you will be visible from the trial.

This is a good trip to combine with our other box, “Cabin Mountain”, following many of the same directions. You can double back to the Ridge Top Trail and turn right to find the other box, or continue following the green blazes to make a loop.
