Part A: If you are at Handsome Tattoos, you can skip ahead to Part C.

Part B: Find where Ashfield Road becomes Blue Mountain Road. Find the fenced cell phone tower next to where the A.T. crosses the road. Park next to or across the street from the tower and follow the white blazes in an easterly direction up a gradual but very long climb. (By the way, the state gameland boundary also uses white blazes for some inexplicable reason, but it wasn't an issue for us.) Eventually the trail levels out and begins a gradual descent. You may see an interesting V tree on your left that turns into a triple. No box there, at least not as far as I know. The trail levels out before heading up again. Just past the stone marker, follow the trail into Carbon County. You will pass an enormous rock formation on your right, and then an open area, before reaching the fork where the blue-blazed South Trail heads off to the right.

Part C: From the western junction of the white-blazed A.T. and the blue-blazed south trail, make your way to the eastern junction. Either way is fine. The blue trail along the south face involves a lot of walking on loose boulders if that's your thing, and has nice views of mountains to the south. The A.T. follows the north face and has nice views of the town of Bowmansville. Also, following the A.T. and looking up to the top of the ridge, there is a rock formation that looks an awful lot like a tank.

When you get to the junction, you may want to continue east to the next tower. Along your way, you may pass a large renegade campsite with stone sofas. We'll wait for you to get back.

Back? O.K. Head west on the blue-blazed trail for about a tenth of a mile. On your left is a pine tree with a sign warning that the next mile of trail is basically loose rocks and slippery when wet. The box is at the base of this pine under a SPOR and pine straw. Please snap all four corners shut. You can continue on the blue trail, or double back the tenth of a mile and head west on the A.T. all the way to your car.
