Easy walk and find . . .

In West Peterborough, the Ruin Garden at Teixeira Park is hard to miss. The park itself is a small oasis next to the Nubanusit River, donated in 1971 by Pearl Teixeira to the town and renovated in 2006. Huge granite slabs are arranged in the center, making a delightful spot to play and pause and enjoy the peace. Recently a permeable hard pavement has been added, which makes bike riding and exploring quite easy. For more information see: http://thegardenerseye.blogspot.com/2010/02/blog-post_07.html

Follow the path to the Ruin Garden and follow the twisty path to the arch. Stand in the arch facing south, looking at the Nubanusit River. Turn back on the path and take a left, then another left and exit the Ruins. Directly across from the crushed gravel path spy a low lying green bush. The box will be in that bush, under two small rocks. Please be very gentle with the bush (enter from the side and you won't have to disturb it).

Becareful of poison ivy, dog poo, and the prickly needles of the bush.

Enjoy!!

Teixeira Park is located on Union Street in West Peterborough, across from Windy Row and the West Peterborough Post Office. From 101, either turn on Elm Street and take a left onto Union, or turn on Union Street (signs posted for MacDowell Lake and Dam and Nature's Green Grocer). Park is roughly one mile from either turn, on Union Street.
