Box 2 and 3 are presumed missing. These Boxes are placed in various old cemetaries in Saugerties. Please be respectful. Box 1 is located in the Lutheran Cemetary on Ulster Ave. near Price Chopper. There is a small municipal parking lot diagonally across the street from Price Chopper. Park here. Walk across the street and through the gate. Pass the Tepe graves on your right and walk straight back toward the fence to a newer stone for Krauss. Behind this stone a ways you will find a relative of mine named Conrad Gippert. Facing Conrad, Who was born in 1836, go straight walking 19 steps to Lasher who died in July 1850, next to Rosina, John and Henry. Turn right and walk 23 steps. Box is under Phillip Mattes, next to Christina and A.F. Mettler. Box 2 is located in The Katsbaan Cemetary located on Old Kings Highway {county route 34}. It is on the right side, Enter through the metal archway and park. Walk parellel to the Hwy til you reach three Myer stones with two large trees on each side. The box is in the closest tree to your car. Box 3 is located a little farther down Old Kings Hwy. Turn left onto School House Road, near a historical marker that reads Victory in 1777. Cemetary is on Right a few yards away. This is the Asbury Methodist Cemetary. Go to far left corner where William P Chidester was buried in 1890. Look behind the stump. Box 4 is located in the Eastern View Cemetary in West Camp, near the Saint Pauls Lutheran Cemetary, which just celebrated its 300th anniversary. There is an unmarked dirt road, which is hardly visable behind the church. Take this road which borders some backyards til you see the stones. park. Start at the Pavolich grave next to the rusty looking stone of Iohn Roseboom who departed on August 29 1788. Follow the imaginary path marked by small wooden stakes down the hill past infant daughter under a cedar tee.Go to the furthest point and look under the grave of JosephSchutt, who died on feb. 3 1866. Please cover all boxes well and enjoy the old cemetaries .
