It’s been a long day of sledding and it’s time for Troop #40922 to go home. Before they left, they wanted to take one last hike. They decided to start their hike at the bottom of Hickory Ridge Sledding Hill. Facing the pond, they took a left. One girl wanted to take the trail on the right, but her leader said not to. As they were walking, they started to go around the bend. At the beginning of the bend, they saw a path on the left and they decided to take it. As they were walking down the path, there was an open field on the left where they saw a family of deer running around. After a while of watching the deer play, they decided to keep walking. As they were walking, they saw a big tree on the left that looked like it was two trees combined into one. They continued on the same path until they reached a fork in the road. They decided to take a right and follow the little red footprints on the trees. The girls got very tired after climbing up a hill, but it was worth it because they saw a beautiful pond on the left. They walked past the pond. As they continued on, they saw a tree on the right that fell between another tree, with two long branched sticking out of it. The branches pointed towards a pond. They decided to follow where the branches pointed, and they ended up a little bit off the trail. One girl in the tree took seven paces and found something that “stumped” her. Suddenly all the girls ran to her side to find what hid inside.
