Placed with permission of BA Parks.
Town Pump is located in Ray Harral Park in Broken Arrow. The park is off Tucson (121st) between Elm (161st) & Lynn Lane. It is on 3rd street. Drive between 2 schools and the street dead ends at the Park.
This park was the site of a spring that supplied the city of Broken Arrow with water beginning in 1909. Later, during the depression the city grew Christmas trees here and sold them in town. As new water sources were secured for the growing town, the area was landscaped for the park. It is dedicated to Ray Harral, who was employed by the city for 11 years and was a nature lover.

Clues
There is a long way (recommended) and a short way.
LONG WAY
Start on the trail that is nearest the turtle. Once you cross the bridge, for every decision you have to make the "right" answer is left, except your last. You will pass a railroad tie wall, then go down and back up. You will then pass a park bench on the right and “drowned” metal “tee-pees” on the left. Then up and back down.
At the bottom of the hill there will be two large rocks -- a perfect spot for taking a rest and stamping a logbook. But alas, the box went missing from this site twice….so keep going. At the end of the trail, remember the decision you still need to make. You will then cross over the water and have to make another decision. Not far up this trail is a park bench. That looks like a nice spot to hide a box….but alas, it went missing from here too. So, keep going. At the next fork, keep going straight and there will be a tree with one side of the truck that is hollowed out at that intersection on the right side. Behind that tree, you will see a few asphalt rocks and some pieces of bark. Carefully lift the bark (it is glued to the top of the box) and you will find your prize.
Please make sure to be stealthy when retrieving & replanting. Place rock back on top.
After you are finished with the box, continue on down the trail and enjoy the rest of the park. Don’t forget to stop in the Nature Center.

Be careful of the natural habitat of snakes and other critters.

SHORT WAY
Find the trail with the steps on the left of the grassy/park area. Head down the trail. Just before the first intersection, on the left, there will be a tree with one side of the truck that is hollowed out. Behind that tree, you will see a few asphalt rocks and some pieces of bark. Carefully lift the bark (it is glued to the top of the box) and you will find your prize.
Please make sure to be stealthy when retrieving & replanting. Place rock back on top.
Be careful of the natural habitat of snakes and other critters.
