This is our second letterbox and our first for Halloween. The first finder gets a treat.
Let the search begin.........
This box is at the Old Burial Ground in Claremont,NH. across the street from this church.....
The Union Episcopal Church, also known as the English Church, is an historic church located on Old Church Road in Claremont, New Hampshire. Built in 1773 it is the oldest surviving Episcopal church building in New Hampshire and is also the state's oldest surviving building built exclusively for religious purposes. It is still an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire. On February 1, 1980, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
To find this halloween surprise, you must first find this church. Park in the church parking lot and go across the street and a little to the right, enter the cementary on this road.
This is the oldest part of the Old Burial Ground with graves dating back to the revolutionary war. Continue on till you exit the cementary on the western side onto Plains road. Standing at this gate go to your right down the road for 33 average paces. Go left up the embankment, and cross over the stone wall. If you did this right, the box is hidden under an old tire and some rocks and brush at the base of a tree and next to the stone wall.
After finding the box, enjoy the treat and please put everything back and hide it well as this is a well visited place . I forgot to leave a pen inside the box, so please bring one and copy down my email address and let me know how you enjoyed our letterbox.
Please respect the dead ." HAPPY HALLOWEEN"
P.S. Don't be alarmed if you dig up a skull. Some things are meant to be..Boo-o-o-o-!!
