From January 2004 until 6/10/10 Dude the Wonder Dog and I were collectively known as Hikers & Hounds. We had so many great adventures with so many wonderful trail friends. We hosted and attended gathers, played online trash talk games and best of all spent hours and hours together on trail, just the two of us. We were two halfs of a whole and now that Dude has passed at the ripe old age of 19, I can no longer be Hikers & Hounds without him. So I have made one last plant, our team stamp, as Hikers & Hounds. This stamp means so much to me, and represents all we've experienced in last the 6 years, so PLEASE re-hide it better than you found it. This stamp is planted in the very park not far from the spot where Dude and I stumbled across our first box. We had no idea what we found and what adventures lay ahead. We were just having a nice snowy hike and accidentally found a box (which has since been muggled). So I have planted our trail stamp where it all began for us. Enjoy.

Park in the parking lot and, facing the bathrooms, head towards the right(ish) towards the woods. Soon you'll be on a trail with trees on the right and the creek on your left. Stay on trail, pass the dead fish rock, and keep going. Eventually the trail narrows and veers right uphill. After a few smaill switchbacks you'll have the option to stay straight or take a trail on the left. Dude and I are both left handed so left you go. Very soon you will see a fallen tree off trail in front of you that forms a vee. Box is in the vee unders SPOR. If you step across the small branch laying across the trail you've gone too far.

This stamp was always inked up with Black, Brown, Green Maroon and (mustard) Yellow, if you want to be authentic. Please, please re-hide well. And say hello to my sweet boy Dude while you stamp in. I believe his loving spirit watches over all of the his letterboxing friends.
