Aubrey First United Methodist Church
“Sharing our hearts, hands and hope through Christ”

Aubrey First United Methodist Church had its beginnings in a log cabin with dirt floors over 150 years ago. We've come along way since 1858! We are a small congregation with a big heart. We greet each other with hugs and hand shakes - like family. Our worship style is casual and our communion table is open to everyone regardless of faith, the first Sunday of every month. Join us for a pot luck lunch on each second Sunday. Our church is full of good cooks!

Built in 1918, our current sanctuary is like few others in Aubrey, filled with traditional red carpet covering a sloping hardwood floor and over 600 square feet of truly awe-inspiring stained glass windows. Our congregation is in the process of raising money to repair and restore the Church. While you’re letterboxing, if you should enjoy our stain glass windows, and would like to participate in our building restoration fund you will find several addresses and stamped envelopes in our letterbox. No donation is too small!

To Your Treasure…. Find your way to Aubrey, Texas (Horse Country!). Going north on 377, turn west (left) onto Springhill Rd. As this road begins to curve to the north (right) it will cross the railroad tracks and become S. Main St. Continue on S. Main St. and turn west (left) onto W. Plum St. Aubrey First United Methodist Church sits on the intersection of W. Plum St. and Cedar St. To the right of the sanctuary door that faces Cedar St, locate the sign in front of the church. Facing the west side of the sign, look down and to the right. Under a large rock is buried the treasure you seek! Please hide back very carefully and consider returning for a visit to our worship service!
